But what about when GOD makes you wait? Abraham waited DECADES to have a son. Jacob worked 14 years for Rachel. Moses wandered 40 years before God's call. THEN he lead Israel for ANOTHER 40 years. The only thing worse than waiting on God is wishing you had. Tale of 2 kings. Saul - 1 Samuel 13:8-. Samuel said he'd be there in seven days. On day seven, Saul gave up. He took the offerings and made the sacrifice himself. Literally the moment it was done, Samuel walks up. vs 11 Samuel said, “What have you done?” Samuel tells Saul because of THIS, your kingdom is over. David - For half the book of 1 Samuel, David is living in caves, running from Saul's men. Over and over, he has the chance to kill Saul and end it. But he WAITS.
